Financial apps compete on features, but trust is built through education. Intercapital wanted their Genius investing app to be more than a trading platform.

Brand Context

Intercapital operates Genius, an investing app designed to make financial markets accessible to everyday Croatian investors. In a space where most platforms compete on features and fees, Genius needed to differentiate by building trust through education. The challenge was positioning the app not just as a place to trade, but as a guide for people learning to invest.

The Challenge

Investing apps face a fundamental tension: they need to make complex financial markets feel approachable while maintaining credibility. Intercapital wanted to use Genius as a trusted source for financial literacy, but their team struggled to identify which financial themes users cared about most and how to transform those topics into content that both educated and inspired new investors without overwhelming them with jargon.

The Strategy

We built a financial intelligence system that identifies trending topics and translates them into accessible educational content.

We monitored editorial coverage of market movements and macroeconomic shifts, tracked Twitter discussions around trending financial topics, crypto buzz, and stock market events, and analyzed Google queries from retail investors asking practical "how-to" and "what does it mean" questions.

From this, we identified key themes around accessible investing through fintech platforms, early retirement planning and pension savings, and alternative investment options when traditional savings rates disappoint.

Execution Details

We transformed financial signals into content designed to educate without intimidating. We created landing pages explaining complex financial themes in simple, actionable terms, breaking down topics like pension planning and alternative investments into clear next steps. Meta ads promoted these pages with hooks based on trending financial questions, meeting users where they already were in their learning journey. Content formats reframed market shifts as opportunities for learning and investing rather than sources of confusion or anxiety.

Strategic Impact

The trend-driven approach delivered what traditional fintech marketing often misses: content that builds trust through education rather than just promoting features. By making financial content accessible and timely, Intercapital improved engagement and positioned Genius as a trusted source for education and inspiration, not just transactions. The campaign established a repeatable model where financial trends become educational content that drives app engagement, proving that investor education can be both scalable and effective.
